Mahmud Abbas' Nose Gets Longer -- Lies to Hide Arab Collaboration in Nazi Murders

Mahmud Abbas, or Abu Mazen by his nom de guerre, has the habit common among Arab political leaders and spokesmen/women/, of shamelessly lying. They even lie about each other fairly often, although Arab lies and unfounded or flimsily founded charges against other Arabs get little attention in many Western countries that want to see Arabs --especially Palestinian Arabs-- as always good and innocent, something like a collective Jesus.

However, in historical reality Arabs ruled empires that subjugated non-Arab, non-Muslim peoples. The non-Muslim subject peoples under Arab rule are legally oppressed, exploited, and humiliated as  people lacking rights under Islamic law, particularly that part of shari`ah called the dhimma, the laws and rules applying to these non-Muslims. Now, quite relevantly for Abbas's speech at the UN General Assembly, most of the Arab nationalist movement was pro-Nazi during the 1930s and 1940s. But what was Abu Mazen's specific lie?

The state of Palestine, based on the 4th of June, 1967, borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, is a state under occupation, as was the case for many countries during World War II. 

Here Abbas is trying to present Israel as like Nazi Germany by implication, while presenting the Palestinian Arabs as victims of the Jews. Throughout the history of Islam of course, since the Arab/Muslim conquests of the 7th century, Arabs and other Muslims have lorded it over Jews and quite lawfully according to Islamic law as said above. 

What is most important considering Abbas' speech is that during WW2 and the Shoah, the Arab nationalists generally and the Palestinian Arab nationalists in particular were pro-Nazi. This is no secret to informed people who know history but the run of the mill Western journalist is ignorant of this history. They ought to  be reminded. For information on how the top leader of the Palestinian Arabs during the Shoah --Haj Amin el-Husseini-- collaborated in the Holocaust, visited death camps, helped the Germans to recruit and organize Muslims in Europe (in Bosnia, Kossovo, the Soviet Union) into special SS military units, into the dread Einsatzgruppen, and into Wehrmacht auxiliary units. The SS Handschar division was made up of Bosnian Muslims and the SS Skanderbeg division was made up of ethnic Albanian Muslims in Kossovo. They all took part in mass murder which Husseini, who had been the British-appointed mufti of Jerusalem, encouraged by making speeches to them, writing pro-Nazi propaganda meant for these Muslim peoples, etc. Husseini spent the war years in Berlin with a headquarters and a stipend from the SS, from Himmler, and an entourage of Arabs from notable families who cooperated in his pro-Holocaust efforts. When Husseini met Hitler in November 1941, he was pleased when the German Fuehrer told him of his intent to extend the Shoah from Europe to the Jews living in Arab countries. Of course, he also supported German occupation of the many occupied countries in Europe. But he was never punished after the war because the major Allied powers did not want to prosecute or punish him. Those powers included the USA, USSR, UK and France.

Anyhow, it is highly ironic as well as hypocritical that Abbas now presents the Palestinian Arabs as victims of  "occupation" that he compares to the Nazi occupation whereas during WW2 the Palestinian and other Arabs were pro-Nazi and supported the occupations and the mass murder of Jews. The passage quoted from his speech also contains two other lies but of course we expect from Abbas. 1) there were no "4th of June, 1967 borders." There were only armistice lines which were the outcome of the Arab-initiated war against the emergence of an independent Jewish state, a war that began on 30 November 1947, within hours of the UN General Assembly vote to recommend partition of the country into a Jewish state, an Arab state, and Jerusalem as an internationally ruled enclave.

2) There is no "state of Palestine." This so-called state refuses to negotiate permanent borders with Israel while it does not control all of the territory that was allocated to it by the Oslo accords, since Hamas took Gaza away from the Palestinian Authority and this "state" does not supply state services to its residents despite the billions of dollars and euros that it has received from the European Union, the USA and various other governments. Its water supply and electricity supply are provided by Israel. What the PA does have is support from many Judeophobic Western and Muslim government.
3) Israel does not "occupy" Judea & Samaria which were designated by the San Remo Conference and the League of Nations to be the Jewish National Home on the grounds of the historical connection of the Jews with the Land of Israel, alias "palestine" in Western lingo.

High Schoolers in Land of Arab Spring Revere Hitler & ISIL

Hitler was very popular among Arab nationalists before WW2 in the 1930s. Now, 70 years after the end of the Nazi German Holocaust, perpetrated under Hitler's command, he is popular among some Arab youth, students at at least two high schools in Tunisia, the land where the Arab Spring began. This has been revealed in French media organs

In Tunisia, "Islamofascism" is not merely a media formula. It can take on a quite concrete appearance. . . . At the high school in  Jendouba in the northeast of the country, a banner showing Hitler saluting the German flag was displayed, the site of Francetv Géopolis reports.

In another high school in the area of Jendouba, it was the black flag of the Islamic State that was put on display. . . . .

In the girls high school of Kairowan (LJFK), the religious center of Tunisia, a banner showing a representation of the persecutions of the Islamic State was hung on a wall. One can see on it a masked warrior armed with a scimitar accompanied by two prisoners dressed in the typical orange pajama. One of them in flames might represent the Jordanian pilot burned alive by Da`ash [ISIL] last February.

The article in Le Figaro looks for an excuse why many in the Arab world are so fascinated with Hitler. And the reporter finds a false reason.

The fascination for the 3rd Reich is not rare in the Arab countries, which did not undergo the trauma of Nazism and are gladly hostile to Israel.

This reason is false because in fact Nazi German troops, the Wehrmacht, did occupy Tunisia in late 1942 and early 1943. The Jews there were subjected to the preliminary stages of the Holocaust while mass murder camps were being built in North Africa. Archbishop Tutu Pretends Arabs Did Not Traditionally Oppress Jews, Had No Hand in Holocaust; Akiva Eldar of HaArets [haaretz] Facilitates Tutu's Lies

The repugnant Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu popped into town with his coconspirators, jimmuh carter and Mary Robinson, as part of a know-nothing gang of so-called Elders. Interviewed by Akiva Eldar of HaArets, Tutu came up with an old staple of pro-Arab propaganda, the Arabs [now called "palestinians"] are paying for Nazi Germany's crimes against Jews. This lie was a staple of anti-Israel propaganda among the British and American Establishments going back to the years after the Holocaust. However, it did become known in those days that Haj Amin el-Husseini [al-Husayni], the chief leader of the palestinian Arabs and British-appointed mufti of Jerusalem, played a direct role in the Holocaust. This was known to the editors of the weekly Nation magazine, among others, although today's editors at the Nation seem not to know it or to not understand its moral implications. Likewise, Tutu seems unaware of the age-old oppression of Jews in lands ruled by Arabs which goes on even now in Yemen, for instance. So Tutu is either a liar or an ignoramus, or maybe something of both.

What is equally dangerous is the HaArets journalist, Akiva Eldar, who feeds Tutu soft questions, and does not challenge his obviously false answers. Eldar plays a funny role, by the way. I used to read his articles in HaArets fairly often. He always seemed to know what the Washington administration was thinking, whether the president was Reagan or Bush I or Clinton or Bush II. So it seems that he was serving as a channel for US govt viewpoints in the Israeli press, and as an advocate for US viewpoints, claims, policies, etc. He deserved to be paid for those services, and if the US embassy in Tel Aviv did not reward for his services, then he was grossly underpaid. Of course, I have no proof that he was ever rewarded by the USG for services rendered. But his regular journalistic conduct is suggestive.

Now, there was a great deal of Arab-Nazi collaboration, and indeed of mutual influence. Husseini, the mufti of Jerusalem, spent most of the war years in Nazi-fascist territory in Europe and collaborated directly in the Holocaust. A new book by Matthias Kunzel has a good deal of information on the Nazi-Arab relationship and influences. There are several other books too that I will look up and add to this post. Meanwhile, here are some of Tutu's foolish remarks. Perhaps he is used as a British spokesman to say things that a white Britisher could not get away with saying.

TheNobel Prize laureate spoke to Haaretz in Jerusalem as the organization The Elders concluded its tour of Israel and the West Bank. He said the West was consumed with guilt and regret toward Israel because of the the Holocaust, "as it should be." "But who pays the penance? The penance is being paid by the Arabs, by the Palestinians." [HaArets, 8-29-2009]

Note that Tutu tries to be disarming and appear as not a Judeophobe. He said the West was consumed with guilt and regret toward Israel because of theHolocaust as it should be. [Eldar's paraphrase of Tutu]. So the West should feel guilty about the Holocaust. I believe that many Western govts do not feel guilty about it, although they should. Perhaps part of the reason for the lack of a sense of guilt is the kind of propaganda that Tutu speaks which is intended to subtly undermine any sense that the Jews are moral, that Jews have rights, that Jews can be decent human beings if they adopt the UK anti-Israel policy. It is also meant to totally distort real history. Real history also includes more than a thousand years of Arab-Muslim oppression, exploitation, humiliation, persecution of Jews.

However, there is a great deal that has been published on Arab-Nazi collaboration as well as on traditional Arab-Muslim oppression of Jews. If Tutu does not know about this then he is an ignoramus whose opinion on Arab-Israeli matters is worthless. If Tutu knows but pretends not to know and utters his falsehoods anyway, then he is a liar. Either way, he does not deserve to be taken seriously. This also should apply to jimmy carter and mary robinson. By the way, how do they explain the photo of the Mufti with Himmler above, personally inscribed to Husseini by Himmler?? They are all loathesome.

Hamas Mouthpiece Denies Arab Guilt in Holocaust

Denial of Arab Holocaust guilt has been around since the late 1940s, at least. Both Arabs and their Western sympathizers, as well as Communists of various stripes, propagate this big lie. Arab spokesmen repeat the lie in a very touching and extremely hypocritical manner that poorly matches their usual brutal cynicism and lies. Why should we pay for Europe's sins against the Jews of Europe?? they whine. But the Arab nationalist movement as a whole was pro-Nazi and pro-fascist. The chief leader of the palestinian Arabs, Haj Amin el-Husseini [al-Husayni], British-appointed mufti of Jerusalem, took an active part in the Holocaust and in Nazi Germany's war effort. He urged the Germans to murder more Jews, including Jewish children. Although during WW2 itself, the Nazis gave much publicity to Husseini's collaboration with them, and it was never a secret, the pro-Arab nationalist lie machines in Europe, the Communist bloc, and the West [including the USA] have worked to have this history forgotten. This pseudo-innocent whining and self-justification by Arab spokesmen also comprises the remarks of Hamas spokesmen. Azzam Tamimi, director of the Institute of Islamic Political Thought in London had the following to say recently on an Iranian TV station:

Are we, the Palestinians, made to pay for the crimes of the Nazis? If the Nazis killed the Jews in Europe, why should the Jews come and live in my mother's house, on my father's land? Is that extremism? If that is extremism, then I am an extremist. If that is terrorism, then I am a terrorist. We are freedom fighters, we are not extremists," he added. [quoted in Jerusalem Post, 3 February 2008].

Not only did Arabs collaborate in the mass murder of Jews in Europe, but they oppressed, persecuted, exploited and humiliated Jews in Arab/Muslim-ruled countries for more than a thousand years --including in Israel. Jews were "tolerated" in the subjugated state of dhimmis. And when the Arab/Muslim fancy turned to thoughts of plunder and persecution, then they did not tolerate the Jews who were subject to them. Nor did they always tolerate Christians who were subject to the dhimmi status too. Naturally, several massacres of Jews took place at the hands of Arab nationalists in Arab-ruled lands in harmony with the Holocaust. Most notable was the Farhud in Baghdad in the Spring of 1941 on the Jewish holiday of Shavu`ot [Pentecost], in which estimates of Jews murdered range from 179 to 600.
Tamimi also said:

Zionists from Europe, helped by the leaders of this country in order to rape my country and turn them into refugees," he said.

It also seems that Tamimi has had very good coaching in psywar and propaganda. However, it is not certain whether this coaching was provided by British experts or by experts who were fellow Arabs. The very claim or imposture that the Hamas fights for freedom is so absurd that only someone schooled in psywar and propaganda techniques could utter it. The Hamas charter makes it clear that it fights for Islam, that it fights a jihad, that it believes in imposing Islam and Muslim law [shari`ah] on non-Muslims worldwide, who will perforce become dhimmis. The Hamas Charter, in its Article 7, includes the medieval Muslim fable that at the End of Days, the Muslims will fight the Jews. The Jews will hide behind rocks and trees. The rocks and trees will cry out: O Muslim, a Jew is hiding me. Come kill him. This demonstrates that Muslim Judeophobia goes way back to the early days of Islam. And Hamas identifies with that medieval Judeophobia, which is indeed genocidal Judeophobia.
